A Poem per Day

A poem a day
keeps boredom at bay.

From the lines I am gleaning
that my life still has meaning.
Searching my mind for some wisdom,
many a silly rhyme does come,
makes my body wiggle,
when my thoughts make me giggle.
It’s good to have laughter each day,
‘cause it keeps dark thoughts at bay.

Hope and happiness we must nurture,
going forward into the future.

If you have friends you hold dear,
when you send messages of cheer,
in times for them so hard,
and you are their encouraging bard,
then you know that you are needed, yes you,
tending to them till they no longer feel blue.

Your love can help them mend,
you, their caring and loving friend.
