A Nitty Gritty Ditty
I poured myself myself a cup of tea
As a measure of kindly sympathy
While trying to again find my groove
After yet another tedious move.
This I am painfully learning
I may always be full of this yearning
To be near a stream clearly flowing
Leaving my heart with happiness glowing
There are rivers, creeks, canals, and the Bay
And yet I sit here, exclaiming: oy vey
Why is it so hard to find that sweet place once again?
That seems to be my never ending refrain.
As a measure of kindly sympathy
While trying to again find my groove
After yet another tedious move.
This I am painfully learning
I may always be full of this yearning
To be near a stream clearly flowing
Leaving my heart with happiness glowing
There are rivers, creeks, canals, and the Bay
And yet I sit here, exclaiming: oy vey
Why is it so hard to find that sweet place once again?
That seems to be my never ending refrain.
