The Daily Dose

Every morning I swill,
With a lot of water, my thyroid pill.
Then after my repast
Of a good and healthy breakfast,
I take four more medications,
No, not for my edification,
But to keep my dear heart going,
And all the blood easily flowing.
The doc found out belated
That my blood pressure was elevated.
So the order is to keep my calm
Offering my heart and body serenity's balm.
They say, as long as I move every leg and arm,
I'll keep my body and heart free from harm.
Each morning I greet with glee:
I am still here, you see.
The best attitude
Is a sense of gratitude.
