Winged Being
It's arduous to break out of the cocoon
to emerge into the light,
to become a beautiful butterfly,
said the Poet.
The other day a butterfly came to visit,
flapped its wings right into my face.
Useless beauty, can't even collect honey
said the Dandelion.
It took a high leap to catch the blue butterfly.
When I laid it at her feet,
the Poet cried.
She did not understand that it was
a love offering, said the White Cat.
